Introduction to kinds of geometry:

Geometry is one of the branch and important part of mathematics. Used for finding area or volume of given images according to our given measurement. Based on the standard geometry classified into two ways. One is plane geometry and solid geometry. Plane geometry means nothing but two dimensional plane object. Solid geometry means nothing but three dimensional object. In this article we shall discuss about kinds of geometry.

Two kinds of geometry:

  • Plane geometry

Square, rectangle, triangle, circle

  • Solid geometry

Polygons, prisms, pyramids, sphere, cylinder and cone.

Major Kinds of Geometry:

  • Riemannian geometry(Elliptic geometry)
  • Analytic geometry
  • Algebraic Geometry
  • Differential geometry
  • Descriptive Geometry
  • Projective geometry
  • Non Euclidean Geometry

RIEMANNIAN GEOMETRY

  • It is a study of differential geometry. It deals with the inner product of the space at all points it should varies smoothly from one point of location to another point of location.
  • It provides or indicates the angle, lengths of curve, surface area  and volume.

ALGEBRAIC GEOMETRY:

  • Algebraic geometry is a one of type of geometry.
  • It was fully based of algebraic expression in geometry. It provides the solution for space or points in a plane express with the relation of both geometry and algebra.

Major Kinds of Geometry:

DISCRIPTIVE GEOMETRY:

  • Descriptive geometry should describe both two dimensional and three dimensional.
  • When the given problem three dimensional objects on a 2D objects surface area we should invite Descriptive geometry.

DIFFERENTIAL GEOMETRY:

  • Differential geometry is mainly used for differential calculus.
  • When we have to fine the area of surfaces and curves applied differential calculus for finding area.

PROJECTIVE GEOMETRY:

  • Projective geometry is a one of the type and modern branch mathematics
  • It should deals with relationship between geometry objects with animation or motion of pictures. Projective fully deals with moving of object in earth surfaces.
  • It was recent technique  for intersection points preserved in motion of pictures, angles lengths, distortion of lengths

NON EUCLIDEAN GEOMETRY:

  • Non Euclidean geometry is a type of geometry. Non Euclidean is a study of  shapes and construction of object but it should not directly to an any n Dimensional.
  • It fully deals with the geometry objects of hyperbolic and elliptic. It was fully opposite of Euclidean geometry.
  • Main difference between Euclidean and non Euclidean geometry is Non Euclidean having the nature of parallel lines but Euclidean should not posses the same.
